NOTE: History limits in versions is available starting from the 14.1.0.14204 version. It is an additional setting giving you more control over the change of history retention – the number of file versions. The new setting is necessary for files that are changed only from time to time.
For example, the retention period on a device is set to 28 days and there is a file that was last changed 3 months ago and 5 months ago. Previously, if the file was not changed during the retention period, it was possible to restore only its last version (in this case 3-month-old). Now with the new setting you can keep more history on the storage past the retention period. To restore one of such versions, Backup Manager users should open the Restore tab and locate the file by its name using the filter.
History limits in versions feature applies to 2 data sources: “Files and Folders” and “Network Shares”.
